Greetings from New Mexico

In NM we have three genera and two species of walking sticks (aka stick insects). The Western short-horned walkingstick (Parabacillus hersperus) is probably the most common in the Albuquerque area where I live.

My interests are broad and include all insect orders. I know longer collect specimens, but I have deposited dozens of specimens at LACM and the Museum of Southwestern Biology (University of New Mexico). Collecting areas include California, Oklahoma, New Mexico, as well as Venezuela and Panama.

Would love to hear about current Phasmid research topics!

Hi Mike, welcome to our forum. We are currently working in many taxonomic aspects related to phasmids from the New World. As soon as a new paper is published, I will warn about this in the "News" page of the website ;) Best regards, Pablo
