well accepted by nymphs and adults, exept for the old leaves in spring which are not readily accepted - Salal (Gaultheria shallon)

Breeding, Behaviour
- a species which likes to hide out in darker places, clinging tightly to the substrate
- eggs are stuck into leaves or other materials, even on the cage floor
- incubation (HH-method on slightly humid sand) about 3 months at 20 - 23°C
- eggs turn greenish about 2 weeks before hatching, due to the green color of the developing embryo
- nymphs are green, about 18 mm long
- males are adult after 2.5 months (at 20 - 23°C), females after 2.5 - 3 months
- medium-difficult species, as quite a lot L1 nymphs can die
